The 1992 Embassy World Snooker Championship took place at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield between the 18 April and 4 May 1992.
Stephen Hendry was the eventual winner after an 18-14 win over Jimmy White in the final. At one point, White led 14-8 and was a red and colour away from winning the frame. He missed, only for Hendry to win the frame—and the next nine. It is regarded as one of Jimmy White's best chances of winning the World Championship.
